Food and drinks in LSE Carr-Saunders Hall

It is a student accommodation only open to tourists during academic vacations, so don't expect a hotel-like experience. But still, a worth recommended place to stay if you are traveling. The room is bit small but clean and tidy. The location is excellent, as you can reach many decent restaurants and tourists attractions by foot. The public space in the ground floor is fantastic. Furthermore, the property have a self-service laundry room with several washing machine and dryer which is great if you sick of overpriced laundry services in some hotel. The breakfast is the best aspects of this property. It is definitely exceptional with its varieties and tastes. Definitely recommend. Overall, absolutely worth the price and would surely booked again.

We have been staying for years so it has a great familiarity and feels like home. The breakfast whilst reminding us of our old school canteen is more than satisfactory with plenty of choices and fruit available and the possibility to sit outside to eat. The shared bathrooms were not overcrowded at all. One felt very safe and secure. It was quiet and the location was perfect for sightseeing in London.

The room was spotless, temperature was kept comfortable and the trip down the hall to the loo and showers was not a burden--reminded me of staying in modest hotels near Russell Square, five decades ago! And there was plenty of hot water--good work. Breakfast was a noisy treat; I enjoyed sharing tables with the visiting students and diverse tourists. The restaurant serving staff were friendly and the food was well prepared--it was a distinct improvement over the breakfasts I remember from my own student days (in Edinburgh, not London, mind you...). Would probably give the vegetarian "sausages" (more like rissoles) a pass in future, but my wife and daughter loved them. Superb location., very convenient for the British Library, Oxford Street and Regent's Park. The Fitzrovia neighborhood is blue-plaque-spotters' heaven! And having what I remember calling the Post Office Tower literally across the road provided a convenient orienteering landmark. The staff on the front desk were helpful and welcoming and displayed a sense of humor. I wish that a couple of them worked for me!

Good breakfast with vegan options and a nice view. Room was a nostalgic dorm room. Bonus for your own washing basin, even if it didn't come with drinkable water. The location was very good, easy to reach by foot from King's Cross, Euston Square, Piccadilly Circus etc. Manned entrance with a 24/7 Tesco express nearby. Essentials provided. The BT(?) tower served as a great landmark.

Buffet breakfast was great and this was included in the room rate! The price of food in London is extremely high so "free" breakfast is highly appreciated. But standard of service of the staff was very different. we stayed for four nights and every morning we can either order say four fried eggs or limited to two only... anyway food choices though limited but good enough. Free flow of coffee (from machine with different choices... espresso, americano, flat white, etc) and fruit were great as well. Toilets and bathrooms were shared... all clean and tidy. Location was great! Walking distance to SOHO and China Town. Very close to Regent's Park for morning runs.

Buffet breakfast in LSE Carr-Saunders Hall

We stayed in a standard room which was ok but not for someone who prefers enough space for spending more time in the room. However, there was enough space for storage of a piece of larger luggage underneath the beds, a decent wardrobe for two people, and numerous shelves. The wash-basin in the room was a plus. For someone who wants to use the room for evenings and good night sleep and for shorter stayse, the standard room is ok. It is possible to pay extra for a more spacious room which looked comfy enough. Choice of warm and cold breakfast was perfect and location close to the city too.

Great location 5-10 mins to the tube and close to Soho and within walking distance of Camden if you walk through Regent's Park. Loved the breakfast included, a great spread and hot breakfast if you want it. Also great to have kitchen facilities we could use.

I was curious because it was my first time in facility with shared bathroom, but everything was ok, clean, quiet, maybe because it was out of season. I liked very much the location, the quarter and also very close to different tube lines. And e.g. Barbican in 20 minutes walking distance. The breakfast was very special and rich, prepared in multicultural style with very pleasant staff.

Value, location, friendly staff, I could leave my luggage after check out which was great as I could use my last day in London unhampered. At night it was quiet. I like that you have 24 hour access. The breakfast was included and was very good.
